THERE WAS LIGHT
Sector
Since the origins of humankind to the present, countless ways have been used for lighting up spaces, and you might think that by this stage there was nothing left to invent... but you'd be wrong! New products appear all the time and our readers want to know more.
Light manufacturers know that investment in R&D gives an especially good return. Products that combine energy saving, elegance, long-life and functionality, and which also emit light that is pleasant to the eye, are the stars in a constantly active market. These new light sources will feature in ROVASI's forthcoming catalogue in both the downlights and surface mounted section and in the high bay section.

So that you can familiarise yourself with their technical and functional specifications, here are some web addresses that provide useful information about:

PL-H

MINI WHITE-SON

QL

BRITESPOT ES50

(Strangely enough, not even the official web site provides technical information about this light)

LED

This section really ought to be longer, so suffice it to say here that as we get closer to the market launch of ROVASI's LED line, planned for September 2004, we'll be telling you a lot more about this new light

2004 CATALOGUE. COUNTDOWN
Professional catalogue
Over the last few weeks our marketing department has been compiling data and images for the new ROVASI product catalogue, an ambitious project to improve our pre-sale communication.
ROVASI's commercial and architectural lighting catalogue has become an essential working tool for a large number of industry professionals all over the world. This fact, which for many would be just a great cause for satisfaction, is for us also an extraordinary challenge: we need to meet these people's demands down to the smallest detail if we don't want to lose their trust.
Based on this premise we have defined two major fields of action:

CONTENTS

Expanding our range with an extensive programme of new products.

Reordering products to enable more intuitive placement in the catalogue.

More explanatory icons and examples for the accessories.

Prioritising information about type of lights.

DESIGN

Commitment to visual and quick access to information.

Leading role for examples based on images from completed projects. At this point we would like to express our sincere thanks to all our customers who have sent us photographs that we can use in our communication media. Without their generous help we would never have been able to embark on the graphics project we are working on at present.

Expanding our current chromatic range.

We are confident that the dedication of ROVASI's data systemisation teams and the communication agency chosen to design and lay out the catalogue will make major improvements to the core of our relationship with our customers.

When more than 95% of your production is exported, you need a firm commitment to communication. Even though a printed catalogue is still your best ambassador in international markets, you have to provide it with unequivocal credential letters.

THE DOWNLIGHT CONSTELLATION
If you multiply the number of lights by the number of diameters, and then multiply that by the possible combinations of rims, reflectors and decorative accessories, you'll get the variety of downlights that ROVASI can offer to its customers – as many as there are stars in the sky! (Please excuse a bit of hyperbole in this special month.)
Downlights are without doubt the star products in our catalogue. In a type of perfect dynamic circle, professionals seek the solution they need at ROVASI at the same time as our engineers are working hard to expand what we can offer by putting in place our latest products. This has created an extraordinary range of downlights which provide architects, interior designers and installers with creative solutions both for common applications and for specific and practically unrepeatable circumstances.

Although halogen and compact fluorescent lights are still the ones most in demand (see references 2010 and 4250 in the photos below), we also offer a wide variety of incandescent, metal halide, sodium, mercury and induction models.

And given that each application is different, they come in up to seven diameters, with 110mm being the smallest (2023, for example) and 300mm the largest (4803T, among others). This diversity enables appliances to be laid out with precision regardless of the dimensions of the space to be lit.

Moreover, our optic and decorative accessories make it possible to meet today's demand for customised lighting and take into account the particular features of any project. That means you can increase protection in damp environments (up to IP65), soften lighting strength, adjust to match or contrast with wall or ceiling colour, etc.

In ROVASI's downlights section, quality, diversity and creativity come together to enable professionals to guarantee intelligent installations.
