AERIAL lighting up the streets of Kalmar

Kalmar is a coastal city in south-east Sweden with important industrial, trade and service sectors.
The public street lighting system used for the city centre’s shopping district was recently overhauled by installing AERIAL luminaires from ROVASI: IP65 downlights for catenary systems.
Cable lighting is highly flexible and recommended for lighting large open spaces because it enables just the right amount of light to be focused on specific points, avoiding the need for lamp posts and encouraging full use of the street by the public.
The AERIAL pendant lights from ROVASI offer an IP65 moisture protection rating and an IK07 mechanical impact resistance rating.
The body and ring are made from die-cast aluminium and covered in polyester powder with a C4 anti-corrosion coating to guarantee durability. A special C5-M coating is also available upon request to deal with highly corrosive environments.
The device used to anchor the luminaire to the cable is made from 316L stainless steel and can be adjusted to various different positions (0º, 5º, 10º, 15º or 20º) to compensate for cable systems on an incline.
The cable entry point (fitted with a double cable gland) is located at the back of the luminaire to enable serial wiring installation.
