REYKJAVÍK CITY HALL chooses ROVASI’s ADAPT luminaires for efficient, sustainable and custom lighting solutions
REYKJAVÍK CITY HALL, an architectural icon representative of Icelandic heritage, recently upgraded its lighting with ADAPT luminaires from ROVASI. This modern building, designed by Studio Granda, integrates Iceland’s natural landscape with urban life, housing the city’s executive offices.
The engineering team chose the ADAPT luminaires for their advanced customisation options, crucial for a seamless installation. Using ADAPT, the team was able to match the luminaires precisely to the existing recessed spaces, allowing each fixture to fit seamlessly. This enabled a smooth, hassle-free installation that required no additional adjustments and maintained the building’s aesthetic integrity. The rapid installation saved time and allowed administrative activities to resume promptly.
Over 700 luminaires were provided, each set to a 3000K temperature with a CRI > 90 for optimal visual comfort. Additionally, the DALI-2 system enabled precise lighting management, creating an ambiance tailored to the building’s diverse uses. ROVASI, a leader in luminaire manufacturing, further customised the lights with RAL 7015 trim rings, seamlessly blending them into the ceiling for both functional and aesthetic cohesion.
On-site support from ROVASI’s exclusive Icelandic distributors, led by S. GUDJÓNSSON, was instrumental to the project’s success.
The ADAPT range simplifies luminaire replacement with flexibility and reliability.
