KAUTTA lights up the Domb’Éveil nursery in France

The new Pkindergarten Domb’Éveil in Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne, France, is a childcare facility designed to offer a warm, functional and environmentally conscious environment for children, families and staff.

The building, developed by L’Atelier Architectes, has been carefully integrated into its natural surroundings, creating a soft dialogue between architecture and nature.

Inside, the project is organised around a central circulation area filled with natural light, conceived as a true living space for users. This generous interior corridor opens the heart of the building to the surrounding landscape. The activity rooms are widely connected to the park and combine soft materials, warm tones and a calm atmosphere suited to early childhood spaces. 

ROVASI supplied KAUTTA 100 and KAUTTA 600 linear luminaires for the project. Their clean geometry and discreet presence contribute to the architectural language of the building, integrating naturally into spaces where visual comfort, continuity and precision are essential.

In the central circulation areas, KAUTTA 100 recessed linear luminaires reinforce the longitudinal rhythm of the architecture and provide continuous, efficient and comfortable illumination. Their integration into the ceiling helps preserve the clarity of the interior spaces while supporting the strong linearity of the building.

In the children’s rest rooms, KAUTTA 600 wall-mounted linear luminaires provide a soft and controlled light above the cots. As wall-mounted linear downlights or uplights, they allow the lighting to be adapted to more intimate spaces, where comfort, calmness and visual discretion are especially important. Their linear format integrates quietly into the room, contributing to a warm and reassuring atmosphere.
